Eminem regrets using homophobic slur in new album

Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly

We've been witness to the growing feud between rappers Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly for a couple of weeks now, and today, Em has shared a searing response to MGK's track, "Rap Devil". / He'll have to fuck Kim in my flannel / I'll give him my sandals / "Cause he knows long as I'm Shady, he's gon' have to live in my shadow".

Eminem explained that he kept coming back to that word when putting the album together because he didn't "feel right" about it, so his team "spun the word back" to obscure it, but he now realizes everyone could still understand what he's saying.

Two weeks on from the album's release, Eminem sat down for an interview with Sway Calloway, in which they discussed the slur. "I'm not gonna be America's punching bag and (let) motherf-ers think it's cool and safe to say whatever they f- they want about me". Six years ago might seem a long time, but some things aren't forgiven or forgotten very easily - and apparently not if you're Eminem.

The artist, whose birth name is Marshall Mathers, initially ignited the fight after hearing Machine Gun Kelly talk about how Eminem's daughter Hailie is "hot as f-k", way back in 2012. Like I'm trying to hinder his career. You know how many fucking rappers are better than you? The young rapper then responded with the diss track "Rap Devil". The rapper fired off a tweet directed at Eminem telling him to "tread carefully" before he tears him down like "Suleiman done the Templar Knights". So I'm like, 'What the f***?' I clicked on it. The reason I dissed him is actually a lot more petty than that.

At the end of last month, Eminem surprise-dropped his new album "Kamikaze", which features plenty of digs at President Trump, as well as a number of his detractors. "Now I'm in this f***in" weird thing, because I'm like, "I've got to answer this motherf***er'".
