Musk Smokes Weed, Drinks Whiskey on California Comedian's Show

Elon Musk speaks at Boring Company community meeting in Bel Air Los Angeles

"I want to be clear that I believe strongly in Tesla, its mission, and its future prospects, and I have no disagreements with Tesla's leadership or its financial reporting", he added.

The company's HR chief, Gaby Toledano, is also leaving the company , Bloomberg reported Friday.

The exodus from Tesla continued Friday morning, after news that two more executives had called it quits.

Last month, Tesla's founder tweeted about plans to take the company private. Neither Tesla nor Musk have commented on the Buzzfeed report.

As Musk took a puff, and sipped on whiskey, the two discussed the relaxing effect of alcohol and weed.

Discussing the number of lawsuits and investigations brought against Tesla for auto malfunctions, Musk claimed that most of the lawsuits were frivolous and that people would have died if they had similar accidents in other makes of vehicle: "The S, X, and 3 have the lowest probability of injury of any cars ever tested by the USA government", said Musk. But in the interview with Rogan, which was streamed on YouTube, he appeared at ease.

The drop followed not only Mr. Musk's interview, but also Chief Accounting Officer Dave Morton's resignation that was announced this week.

Elon Musk said it is "probably not wise" to kick robots in a wide-ranging interview with Joe Rogan. "It's very hard to keep a vehicle company alive", Musk said. An episode of Joe Rogan's popular podcast released today seemed to show Musk smoking marijuana-something that's legal under California law but remains illegal under the federal Controlled Substances Act.

In August he told the New York Times that he worked "120-hour weeks" and took sedatives.

Long a polarising figure because of his swashbuckling style, Musk's champions see him as an entrepreneurial genius with the potential to remake the transportation system, while his detractors see him as an egotistical blowhard whose outsized promises have driven unjustified gains in the company's values.

The tech entrepreneur continued by assuring viewers that he is "not a regular smoker of weed", since it's not "very good for productivity".

Legal or not, it goes without saying that Twitter had a damn field day with Elon Musk smoking marijuana.

Musk's fears on the subject of AI are well documented, but he told Rogan that he worries about it less these days because he has adopted a "fatalistic attitude".
