VIDEO: Our First Look at Brie Larson as 'Captain Marvel'

Entertainment Weekly shared the first official photos from "Captain Marvel" on Wednesday. Yesterday, Brie Larson teased that Entertainment Weekly would help her "break the internet" today at noon Eastern time.

After the madness that was Infinity War and Thanos killing half of the Universe, the little ray of hope Marvel offered us came in the form of the Captain Marvel logo in the Post Credits scene, since then we've learned a Captain Marvel movie is in the works.

Captain Marvel continues its first promotional push by debuting the first in-depth interview with Jude Law, regarding the significance of his mysterious role in Captain Marvel, and what kind of place he will hold in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"Just seeing a character who says how she feels and says what's on her mind and doesn't let people stand in her way is incredibly empowering", Larson says.

Captain Marvel will be released in theaters on March 8, 2019. "But the [not] waiting for orders is, to some, a character flaw". Ben Mendelsohn plays their leader Talos, who spearheads a Skrull invasion of Earth.

Marvel fans know that in one on the most popular recent comicbook Avengers story arcs, the Skrulls invade and take over Earth by replacing key powerful figures, including Avengers, with their own shape-shifters.

To make a long story short, Larson as Carol Danvers will grace the cover of the magazine's new issue out this week, and to celebrate, EW released the cover as well as some quotes from co-director Anna Boden and Larson herself. And dang, does she look good! In addition, Lee Pace will be reprising his role as Ronan from Guardians Of The Galaxy.

My guess, and that's all I claim it to be, is that Carol discovered she has some Kree in her all along and is recruited by Mar-Vell (Jude Law) to join his intergalactic superhero team. And she can be headstrong and reckless and doesn't always make the ideal decisions for herself.
