Reliable Apple site 9to5Mac broke the news about the name of the device, which will be the largest smartphone Apple has ever produced.

9to5Mac is also reporting that both the iPhone Xs and the iPhone Xs Max will ship with 4GB of RAM instead of 3GB. We've known for months that a three-pronged iPhone launch was set to kick into gear this year and as we trundle closer to the September 12th announcement we've seen more and more information pop up online.

At this event, held at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Silicon Valley Apple will outline their new iPhone line-up and strategy for 2019 as well as new Macs, Apple Watches, and iPad Pros for debut this year. Speculations were rife that the upgraded 5.8-inch model of the iPhone X might be launched by it's predecessors's eponymous iPhone Xs.

To this point, a new research note from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (via CNBC) relays that the 6.1-inch iPhone variant might be priced at $799, with the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max priced at $999 and $1,049, respectively.

Apple is rumoured to announce 3 new iPhones next week.

Since the iPhone 6, Apple has offered two size options with the larger carrying the Plus moniker.

You can see if your iPhone is affected by visiting this link. Bloomberg reported there will be three iPhone models this year, two with more expensive OLED display technology, and one with a 6.1-inch LCD display. Both models resemble the current iPhone X. But with about a week left before Apple's event, there's still time to make this phone the "iPhone 11" - or, at least, not the XS. Some of the most anticipated specifications are whether or not the next-generation iPhone will feature wireless charging and what the price tag for these future iPhones will be.

We don't get a glimpse at the front where it's expected there will be a 6.1-inch LCD with a notch for Face ID 1.0.
