First look at Margot Robbie in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'

Margot Robbie Spot-On As Sharon Tate In First Look At Quentin Tarantino Movie

This is the same year that Sharon became one of five victims of Charles Manson and his cult, who broke into her home and stabbed her and her friends to death.

Margot Robbie is offering fans a peek at her portrayal of slain actress Sharon Tate in the upcoming film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". In the pic, Robbie leans against a wall, donning a Tate-style hairdo, a black turtleneck sweater, a white miniskirt and patent leather go-go boots.

The all-star cast includes Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Damian Lewis, Luke Perry, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, James Marsden and Al Pacino.

DiCaprio previously shared his own first look on Instagram, posting a shot of himself and Pitt in character.

While the late actress' family members weren't always keen on the film, given the tragic circumstances, her sister Debra Tate recently gave Tarantino their blessing after the director approached her about the project. DiCaprio plays Rick Dalton, the former star of a western TV series, while Pitt portrays Cliff Booth, Dalton's longtime stunt double. Tarantino describes the film as taking place in "Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippie Hollywood". But considering that Rick's neighbor is Sharon Tate, the wife of famous (and infamous) film director Roman Polanski, their struggles may be short-lived - before they get a whole lot worse in a much bigger way.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set to hit theaters August 19, 2019.

The film will wrap later this year and is due to be released on 26 July next year, having originally been scheduled for 9 August to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the murders committed by Manson and his followers.

Then along came Margot Robbie posting a snap at herself playing Sharon Tate in the upcoming drama (above).
