Aaron Ramsey reveals Unai Emery's pre-season changes

The kid's all right! Teenager dazzles in Arsenal loss

The club Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang joined in January is already a very different one.

"When I arrived here, the first meeting was with Ivan".

"I will be very happy for him if he is going to sign a new contract because he is [part of the] history of Arsenal already and I hope he can become a legend".

On the field Arsenal are battling to keep hold of Aaron Ramsey, who is into the final year of his contract.

Ramsey is now in the final year of his contract with Arsenal but Emery is confident the Welsh midfielder will sign a new deal and extend his stay at the Emirates.

"Rodrigo is doing very well, he has settled very well into the group", said Simeone, after the 22-year-old had put in a solid performance in holding midfield.

"Football changes every day". I've been training with him for a long time now and he's a bright young player with the right attitude and the right conditions to make it.

"He is 17 years old but he has grown up in the academy and we need to give the young players the opportunity to work with us every day and play matches like today". For me, the most important thing is to be and to create one competitive team.

French forward Alexandre Lacazette was denied from close range on three occasions, including a full-length save by Atletico's Jan Oblak after good work from Smith Rowe. "I think he's going to stay here with us".

He scored a marvellous individual goal from distance as Arsenal began their tour of Singapore by drawing 1-1 with Atletico Madrid before then losing a penalty shoot-out on Thursday.

Emery also insisted that while no-one has yet been chosen to succeed Per Mertesacker as club captain, he wishes to have "five captains" in his side for next season.
