Rusty's Forecast - Evening storms diminishing, cooler weekend ahead

Soggy end to the weekend; cooling off this work week

We'll have to continue to take this weather pattern on a day by day basis and at times on a minute by minute basis on how showers/storms are developing and moving. Rain chances will remain likely today and tomorrow. Winds of 40 to 60 miles per hour and hail up to 1 inch in diameter are possible.

Look for partly to mostly cloudy skies Monday with highs ranging from the mid 80s to lower 90s, winds will be light. Expect a few storms into the evening and overnight hours as well with lows in the upper 60s. However, meteorologists say a more progressive solution of the cold front and "faster individual storm motions" may limit that threat from being widespread.

Comfortable conditions are expected for Wednesday through Friday, with daytime highs expected in the low 80s.

Isolated and scattered showers are expected after 3 p.m., and then Monday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 73, forecasters said. Wind: SE/E 5-10. Low: 74. The cloud cover and the rain will prevent highs from rising back into the 90s this afternoon. Some models show afternoon rain chances as well, so we are keeping an eye on that.

We'll see more scattered showers and passing storms through Wednesday morning followed by warmer, drier weather by week's end.

Closer to the coastline, mild weather will prevail into the coming week.
