Putin meeting an accomplishment in itself, envoy says

Russia will draw up a plan for using the infrastructure created for the 2018 FIFA World Cup to develop physical culture and mass sports in the country, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with world football legends on Friday.

"He missed training the day before yesterday but yesterday and today he trained and we will see if I am able to let him play from the first minute".

"Mr (Dmitry) Medvedev - the Russian Prime Minister - was in our changing room but I didn't have time to talk to him", he added. Mr. Trump in recent weeks has spoken openly about readmitting Russian Federation into the Group of 7, the club of industrialized democracies from which it was expelled in 2014 after Mr. Putin annexed Crimea.

Putin attended the team's World Cup opening win against Saudi Arabia and although he has not been present at their other matches he has been keeping in touch with Cherchesov.

Putin has agreed in principle to USA and Israeli demands that Iranian-backed forces in southern Syria be kept away from Israel's border, replaced with troops loyal to the government in Damascus, two Kremlin advisers said. "I won't dare forecast too far ahead", said the coach. "You are the best fans in the world!" the team wrote on Twitter.

"We knew from the first second, I knew where we were heading".

"Of course we wanted to go further", he admitted.

"Very soon, after the World Cup is over, we will gather together with all those who deals with physical culture and all those who was engaged in the construction and the operation of these sports facilities and the sports infrastructure as a whole and draw up a plan of using the sports, engineering and transport infrastructure that has been built to develop physical culture in the country". If they trusted us or not, we trusted ourselves. To beg someone to trust in you, we didn't want to do that.

"People didn't only start trusting, but loving us".

President Donald Trump will drill down on Russia's "malign activity" during summits with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies and President Vladimir Putin, US officials said on Thursday, signaling a harder line against Moscow than Trump has traditionally taken.

Asked if the United States might recognise Crimea to be part of Russian Federation, he said, "We're to have to see" and then said the situation was handled "unfortunately" by his predecessor, President Barack Obama. "We will have do something with our players to play against them and individually our players will have to play well".
