Zanetti: "Ronaldo To Juventus? It Doesn't Concern Me"

Real Madrid linked to $116M offer from Juventus for Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus have begun a serious move to liberate Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid after an incredible nine-year stint in the Spanish capital.

Juventus did not reply to a request for comment on Tuesday night.

It was reported by French journalist Baptiste Ripart (h/t Football Espana) that Los Blancos were to pay €272 million (£240 million) to sign the France global this summer in a world-record deal.

Indeed, it's been suggested Real are prepared to sell Ronaldo for €120m.

The newspapers cited the TV report in their own discussions of a potential transfer, but did not confirm that the deal has already been agreed. Portuguese newspaper "A Bola" also led with a report that talks are underway.

A deal worth €30m-a-year for four seasons was tabled by Agnelli to Ronaldo - a clear €5m-a-year more than what Real have offered.

But former Juventus managing director Luciano Moggi believes the Serie A champions should not look to sign Ronaldo and focus on other areas of their squad.

A source close to Ronaldo told ESPN in June that he remained determined to leave Real Madrid this summer, though he would only consider a move to England, France or Italy.

Since then, the Italian press have gone big on a new story that Juventus are trying to sign Ronaldo from Madrid. "I am not of course sure if he wants to leave Real Madrid or not but maybe he wants another adventure, in another league, let us see what happens".

Meanwhile for Ronaldo, the Champions League was added to the Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup but Real faltered in domestic competitions.
