Salman Khan’s Eid release ‘Race 3’ enters 100 crore club

Box Office- Race 3 is at No. 11 spot of biggest days ever for a Hindi film is behind Dangal

It's a no-brainer that each year Bollywood star Salman Khan's films drop as a Ramzan treat.

Produced by Salman Khan Films and Ramesh Taurani under the banner of Tips Films, Race 3 is directed by Remo D'souza is running strong at the box office. "Race 3" was screened at 13 theatres with 162 shows reaping in Rs.60,68,929 in profits. "Worst" and even "w" will work".

Starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Saqib Saleem and Bobby Deol alongside Salman, Race 3 is the third film in the Race franchise and opened to poor reviews on June 15. It collected 106.47 crores in its first 3 days and is now eyeing at the weekdays' trend.

Further talking about Salman's four Rs 100 crore grossers in flat three days, he tweeted, "Salman versus Salman - first 3 days".

"Race 3 records a enormous start, despite pre-Eid making a dent in its business, emerges as the biggest opener of 2018 so far", trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

After grossing the highest figures of the year for any Bollywood film, on Friday and Saturday, with Rs 29.17 crores and Rs 38.14 crores respectively, the Remo D'Souza directorial went one notch higher, minting Rs 39.16 crores on Sunday. And the mixed reviews haven't affected its box office performance yet. The critics have never been a fan of Salman, the actor. This is the fourth such century for Salman Khan after Bajrangi Bhaijan, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai where he took only first weekend such massive total.

"With Tubelight, it was probably a case of wrong timing".

Mr Adarsh also posted about Race 3's crucial Monday test.

"That is a big obstacle, given the fantastic traction the trailer has garnered". But this time, the film will not be posting some big totals like 300 or 400 crores.
