Cristiano Ronaldo sends message to Mohamed Salah after Champions League final defeat

Transfer news LIVE Willian Chelsea

Five-time Ballon d'Or victor Ronaldo fuelled talk of an exit from Real following their third consecutive Champions League triumph in Kiev against Liverpool.

Salah, 25, enjoyed a record-breaking season in the Premier League, becoming the record top scorer in one season after scoring 32 league goals - and 44 in total with Liverpool over 52 appearances.

Ronaldo is now training with the Portuguese national squad, who are gearing up for the upcoming World Cup in Russian Federation.

Ronaldo, though, is "disgusted" with the latest offer, which is not much better than the one that was discussed a year ago, according to Marca.

"Many people talk about the battle for the Ballon d'Or between between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but there are other players who have a chance to enter the race".

'I hope his injury in the final in Kiev doesn't keep him out.

It's true we play according to our opponents, we study them and we don't just look at Cristiano individually, but at the end of the day we look at the whole group, which is what matters, ' Koke added, who is playing in his second World Cup after having been to Brazil in 2014. Salah fans in Grozny, Russia, made big banners for their star player as he visited a stadium in the city amidst much fanfare, as they chanted Egyptian's name.

Portugal share Group B with Morocco and Iran, but face their toughest test in their opening game against Spain on Friday in the evening kick-off. "I suppose if Spain wins he will be happy, but if Argentina wins he will be happy too".
