Actor Vince Vaughn was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly driving while under the influence

The "Swingers" star was picked up in Manhattan Beach, about 20 miles southwest of Los Angeles, according to police records that only show Vaughn faces a misdemeanor charge. He has yet to be releaased.

According to TMZ, both Vaughn and the unidentified male passenger in his auto initially refused to get out of the vehicle at the checkpoint.

Vaughn faced an assault charge that was later dropped. This has caused some to think there is a conspiracy behind Vaughn's early morning arrest.

Vince Vaugh's wife Kyla Weber was spotted by photographers using the back entrance of the Manhattan Beach police station on Sunday.

Vaughn, who lives in Manhattan Beach, was released later in the morning and given a citation to appear in court. The passenger was also arrested and charged with obstructing an officer and public intoxication.

Both men were booked once they stepped out of the vehicle.

While mostly known for comedy roles at the beginning of his career including Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball, and Old School, Vince Vaughn has been in more drama movies lately.
