'Take it or leave it' Arsenal offer for Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey of Arsenal celebrates after scoring his sides fifth goal and his hat-trick during the Premier League match between Arsenal and Everton at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal have agreed terms over a three-year contract to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yacine Adli as Unai Emery prepares to unveil his first summer signing, according to ESPN.

There have already been a number of players linked with a summer switch to Arsenal, but new boss Unai Emery is understood to be keen for a couple of club stalwarts to commit their futures to the Gunners.

Ramsey, 27, has reportedly been offered a new five-year deal after posting one of the finer seasons of his career. The new contract will ensure a substantial pay rise from Ramsey's current £110,000-a-week earnings, meaning the Wales midfielder will likely be at the level of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's wages at the club. He will be sold if he refuses to extend his contract.

Several clubs have been attempting to land the Switzerland captain, but Arsenal have been confident of winning the race for the free agent following Friday's negotiations.

The midfielder managed 21 starts in the Premier League last season, registering eight assists - the joint-most alongside Mesut Ozil - while he also netted seven goals, including a hat-trick against Everton.

With widespread interest in the Welshman, Arsenal's scramble to tie him down to a new deal does make sense.

The 17-year-old is set to complete his move to the Emirates after undergoing all of the formalities of a transfer.
