Bethesda teases Fallout announcement ahead of E3

Now they appear to be teasing another new Fallout game. We've got less than two weeks until Bethesda's E3 showcase kicks off, but it seems as though the studio has made a decision to tease us all early, this time by taking to Twitter and posting a tweet that will have all Fallout fans standing at attention.

The tweet doesn't give much context, but it includes a retro-looking GIF that may be a nod to the Fallout series' old-school aesthetic.

Their cryptic message became even more interesting when Bethesda's Twitch channel began broadcasting footage of a Fallout bobblehead standing in front of a screen bearing the same "Please Stand By" footage that the studio sent out via Twitter.

As for what that information is, the one thing that we can confirm is that it's not related to a new Fallout game developed by Obsidian. However, it's far from insane to suggest that they might be working on a remaster of a previous Fallout title.

So could this be Fallout 5?

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are the two remaster possibilities, especially as fans have been calling for a makeover of the latter for a long time.

This was followed by a huge announcement, confirming that Fallout 4 was being released that year.

The good news about this tease is that Bethesda doesn't like to drag out release dates after a game has been revealed.

While this tease is very open-ended, we'll likely learn more at Bethesda's E3 Showcase on June 10.
