Clinton impeachment lawyer to represent Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump speaks during a ceremony

"I would love to speak", he insisted. "I would love to", he said.

Speaking to reporters on the South Lawn on Friday, Trump again expressed interest in consenting to an interview. Nobody wants to speak more than me.

"I might like to go ... nothing I might like to do extra", Trump mentioned of a possible sit-down interview with the lead investigator of the Russian Federation election interference probe. But he says he needs to "find that we're going to be treated fairly because everybody sees it now and it's a pure witch hunt".

"He knows it's a witch hunt", Trump continued. He has donated money to both Republicans and Democrats and supported Jeb Bush for president in the 2016 election.

"The problem we have is that you have 13 people that are all Democrats and they're real Democrats. But what he does is he feels it's a very bad thing for our country". Trump and he had discussed disclosing Trump's repaying Cohen, and "he was well aware that at some point when I saw the opportunity, I was going to get this over with", Giuliani added. "He's a great guy", Trump told reporters. Democrats on the committee contested numerous report's findings.

Flood is replacing attorney Ty Cobb on Trump's legal team. The New York Times first published the list of questions.

Trump lashed out against the investigation in a familiar fashion Wednesday, saying on Twitter: "There was no Collusion (it is a Hoax) and there is no Obstruction of Justice (that is a setup & trap)".

Rudy Giuliani, a recent addition to the President's legal team, has publicly sketched out a set of parameters in recent days for a potential interview.

Trump said Mueller's team of veteran investigators were Democrats, suggesting he could not get a fair shake in the probe into whether his election campaign colluded with Russian Federation in the 2016 election, and whether he had illegally tried to obstruct the Mueller investigation.

Asked what questions might be appropriate, the lawyer Rudy Giuliani, a former NY mayor, suggested two to Reuters: "Was there some agreement with the Russians?"

"There is not and will not be any consideration of terminating the special counsel, Bob Mueller", Mr. Cobb said in an interview in October.

McCarthy said Mueller certainly has the power to subpoena Trump, but whether Trump would actually testify is another matter. That could take nine to 15 months, this source said.

He also said he'd even disregard his own legal team's advice if he was convinced that he'd be treated fairly during the interview.

Hours after President Donald Trump said his lawyer Rudy Giuliani did not have "his facts straight", the former NY mayor issued a statement on Friday saying $130,000 in hush money paid to an adult-film star before the 2016 election was not an election law violation.
