New 'Venom' Trailer Finally Reveals Tom Hardy in Terrifying Alien Form

Second 'Venom' trailer shows the symbiote in action

After a few more action scenes and the new buddies coming to an arrangement about their powers, we finally see Venom in all his glory.

Tom Hardy unleashed the new trailer for his Marvel Comics film Venom during CinemaCon 2018 Monday night - the first trailer to feature the powerful extraterrestrial symbiote at the center of the story (due out October 5).

For more on Venom, check out these 30 WTF Venom moments from Marvel history. Today's Nerdist News is breaking out the sonic canons to explain why fans just aren't satisfied. Sony, which is developing a slate of movies based on characters from the Spider-Man comics, had also released a poster for the upcoming film-and it's a creepy one. Some of the excuses are a bit silly, like getting angry over the pronunciation of symbiote.

Of course, Rogen is something of an expert when it comes to making dick jokes - he wrote that epic scene in Superbad when Jonah Hill's character just couldn't stop drawing dicks - so we think his opinion is valid. Spider-Man was the first person to bond with the symbiote, barring some retcons with Deadpool.

We get a better look at the character of Eddie Brock though, and that's a neat touch. Together, the symbiote and Brock became one of Spider-Man's greatest villains. They might lose everything else, but at least they could still make Venom.

As portrayed in the trailer, Eddie Brock isn't the dark reflection of Peter Parker.

The first trailer didn't give much in the way of plot details and offered only vague hints about the anti-hero's origin story. This was something Grace's character didn't really experience; he was simply obnoxious and quippy, which led to him wanting to exploit the symbiote's power as a true villain. He struggles in coming to terms with Venom, but at the end of the trailer he seems to have made peace with it.
