Teen who felt 'adrenaline rush' before Florida school shooting faces terrorism charge

Thousands will walk out of class because of her

Governor Rick Scott released a statement today about both the tragedy in Trenton and the shooting at Forest High School in Ocala.

Earlier, an emotional Woods said he did not want student to be afraid in school.

Sky Bouche, the suspected shooter, is being cooperative and talking with investigations, the Marion County Woods said in a later press conference Friday afternoon.

Bouche instructed the newspaper he sensed an adrenaline rush before the capturing that immediately wore off of Friday, and he couldn't keep on using his own plan.

When he exited the bathroom, he shot one round from his sawed-off shotgun through a classroom door, injuring a 17-year old male student.

A school resource officer heard a loud bang at 8.39 am, and three minutes later, an officer took a 19-year-old suspect, who is not a student, into custody, Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods told reporters.

Gunshots broke out Friday morning at Forest High School in Ocala, some 38 miles south of Gainesville.

Since then, a number of the student survivors have gone on to become outspoken gun-control activists, organising the nationwide March for Our Lives event as well as monthly school walkouts. Marion County investigators said the suspect put on a tactical vest and gloves in the bathroom and initially planned to do the shooting on Friday the 13th.

A 17-year-old was hit in the ankle.

"I am so glad it was me and not one of my friends", the boy told sheriff's deputies at a hospital, Woods said.

"It's a shame what society has come to in that we even have to be here on a school campus", Woods said.

"Marion County does everything to protect their children". Bouche then dropped the gun and surrendered, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Forest High was to participate in the walkout, according to a Thursday post on the Ocala school's Twitter account.

After the shooting and a lockdown to confirm that there was only one gunman, the students were bussed to First Baptist Church of Ocala where their parents were able to pick them up.

Although there had been additional reports of a possible threat at nearby West Port High School, also in Ocala, those reports were found to be untrue-the sheriff's office reported there were "no threat or weapons on [that] campus".

Forest High has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.
