NFL Schedule release set for Thursday night

NFL to announce 2018 regular-season schedule Thursday evening

The Eagles will play the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday, Oct. 28.

With the 2018 schedule leaking, we now know who will play in the worldwide games.

The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will kick the season off at home on September 6. Jacksonville has been playing in London in each of the past five seasons.

This marks the third time since 2005 the Eagles opened against the Falcons.

They'll soon find out the rest of the schedule. The team made trips to London for "road" games in both the 2014 and 2015 season but haven't been back since.

The NFL announced the 2018 regular-season opponents in January.

Last season, the Eagles played three regular-season games on the West Coast, but they have just one such matchup this year: A contest against the defending NFC West champion Rams.

The announcement comes after last week's unveiling of the 2018 preseason schedule.

Aside from the flight to London, the Eagles' return to Los Angeles will mark their longest trip of the season.

It has now been 10 years since the National Football League chose to play games outside of the United States.
