Battlefield V battle royale prototype in the works at DICE

According to recent reports, Activision is also looking into including a battle royale mode in Black Ops 4. Earlier today, reports from VentureBeat's Jeffrey Grubb reveal that the studio behind the upcoming Battlefield V is testing a battle royale mode for the game.

In both "Fortnite" and "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" - more commonly known as "PUBG" - 100 online players are dropped onto island maps to fight to the death with weapons they find scattered throughout the map.

Of course, if the answer is positive, then there is nothing will not prevent developers to add the battle Royale in one of the updates. And again, it shouldn't shock you to hear that DICE is doing the same thing for Battlefield V. It is not a surprise to see many developers made a decision to work on a battle royale project, to be honest. the genre is getting bigger and bigger every day. We wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that Battlefield will get a battle royale mode, but if this source is to be believed, then DICE still has quite a bit of work to do in terms of figuring out exactly how such a mode will work in the final game. EA has provided a huge amount of support for its shooters in the form of regular expansions and downloadable content, and that is where a last-player-standing shooter makes the most sense. And today would write about hearing about Battle Royale Battlefield for 2018. EA could cancel the prototype, it could hold it off for the launch of the next Battlefield or a Star Wars: Battlefront sequel, or it could spin it out into its own game.
