She followed up her opening number by addressing her fans and saying, "Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline" and followed up the statement by singing Run The World (Girls). Her last performance was during the 2017 Grammy Awards. For some major throwback vibes, she brought her king Jay-Z onstage for "Déjà Vu", and made Destiny's Child reunion 2.0 possible with shimmering camo and tracks "Lose My Breath", "Say My Name" and "Soldier".

As she finally took the stage in Indio, Calif., Bey did not disappoint, delivering an epic performance that broke records.

Bey had been hyping up her performance all week, writing on Facebook, "I am so excited to see the BeyHive tonight at Coachella".

It also featured a rendition of Lift Every Voice and Sing, a song often referred to as the "Black American National Anthem".

Destiny's Child, active from 1997 to 2006, included Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LaTavia Roberson, LeToya Luckett and Farrah Franklin.

The trio last performed together at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show, after going on hiatus to pursue solo careers in 2003 and finally disbanding three years later.

Rousting said Beyoncé is a "perfectionist" who "has such a distinct vision for fashion and for her music". Of course, her hubby Jay-Z made a cameo.

Beyoncé's iconic entrance as an African queen will resonate as one of the most powerful moments in Coachella history.
