Parents Miraculously Reunited With Their Daughter Who Went Missing 24 Years Ago

Shaking Six-Week-Old Son

In 2015, Wang took up a job as a cab driver, which opened up new ways for him to find his daughter.

The heartbroken fruit-seller and his wife searched for years, with Wang Mingjing even working as a driver for a ride-hailing service in hopes his missing daughter might step into his auto as a passenger. Since then, her parents had searched all over the city for her. Chinese media reports that Qifeng was not there when he returned to the fruit stall. He and his wife Liu Dengying spent years searching for her, taking out advertisements in newspapers and setting up online appeals.

After she contacted Wang earlier this year, it was revealed that she shared similar traits to the child which went missing 24 years ago, including a small scar on her forehead.

He placed a sign with information about his daughter in the rear window of his vehicle and handed out cards profiling his lost offspring to customers, asking for help from anyone who would listen. Last year, a police sketch artist found out about the story and made a decision to draw a picture of an older Qifeng.

It turned out Qifeng Mingjing had been found shortly after she went missing by a foster family, who say the little girl was crying by the side of a road.

Following a DNA test, it was confirmed that Kang Ying was Wang's missing daughter.

On Monday, the two spoke through a messenger app.

Yesterday (Apr. 03), Wang and his wife were reunited with their daughter in person.

This past Tuesday, Kang Ying and her family flew from Jilin province to Chengdu to reunite with her biological parents. The family met in a tearful reunion yesterday - where Wang hugged his daughter and said: "Daddy loves you".

The following day, they were reunited after 24 years. "Now we can finally meet again", Mr Wang was quoted as saying in the Beijing Youth Daily newspaper.

"I don't think I did anything wrong because you're supposed to put God first and that's all I was trying to do is tell my kids to put God first", Dobbins told media. "My daughter has been found - thank you everyone".
