U.S. mulls 'options' against Russian Federation but will Putin 'admirer' Trump eventually act?

Coma – Yulia Skripal is understood to have briefly regained consciousness when she was first admitted to hospital More

They are believed to have been poisoned by the Soviet-engineered Novichok nerve agent.

It is believed that the USA had been waiting to see what members of the European Council would do, the source said, and on Friday, 10 European countries announced they would follow the United Kingdom's lead by also expelling Russian diplomats. May said Russian Federation did not care for borders and the incident was a part of its aggression against Europe.

It was reported that the White House's National Security Council has advised Trump to show Russian diplomats the door although observers and the American president's critics were eager to see how he eventually acts for Trump is known to be a person who admires his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin's leadership style and feels about Washington having a good relation with Moscow.

Trump is yet to take a strong stand on Putin on allegations like Russian Federation meddled in the 2016 presidential election.

We recall that the ex-officer of the Russian armed forces Sergei Skripal was poisoned in the British city of Salisbury on March 4.

The Kremlin denies receiving a letter from Skripal.

Russian Federation responded by expelling United Kingdom diplomats and shutting down the British Council cultural organisation.

Following a hearing in the Court of Protection, where issues relating to people who lack the mental capacity to make decisions are considered, Mr Justice Williams gave doctors permission to take blood samples from Mr Skripal and his daughter so tests can be carried out by chemical weapons experts.

"The majority of the Russians, who are aware of the incident, do not believe in the version, which includes the involvement of Russia's intelligence agencies in the attempted murder [of Skripal]", the poll revealed.

"The Russian side, despite our repeated requests to London, has no information over the case".

The incident has caused a major diplomatic row, with the European Union recalling its ambassador to Moscow and several European Union countries set to follow Britain's suit in expelling diplomats it believes are posing as spies.
