Out of these 26 incidents in Delhi, two were against school-going children of diplomats, sources said.

India has invited over 40 countries for the WTO mini-ministerial meeting on March 19-20.

On Friday evening, Mahmood arrived for consultations following Pakistan claimed repeated harassment of its diplomats in New Delhi.

The decision came as Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Sohail Mehmood was recalled on March 15 after the alleged harassment of its diplomats in New Delhi.

Official sources mentioned that as many as 5 form of diplomatic communication (note verbale) had been issued to Pakistan to not block access to any Indian government website.

Apart from Pakistan, India has also invited ministers from Australia, China, European Union the USA and several African countries to the conference starting on Monday. The first WTO meeting was held in 2009, DC reported.

Kumar also added that India wants its mission in Pakistan to function normally, in keeping with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961.

Pakistani visa applicants for the 806th Urs at Ajmer Sharif were kept in anticipation by India till late on Saturday evening for a journey they were to commence on Sunday.

While the WTO meeting would be a multilateral engagement, India's decision to invite Pakistan commerce minister Pervaiz Malik for the event is expected to liquefy the relationship.

Pakistan has also said that despite bringing the matter of harassment to the notice of Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, no firm action was being taken.

He said that the alleged LoC violations were an attempt to divert the attention from the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Kashmir.

New Delhi too played down the issue and clarified that it was not an official recall. However, hours later, India asked its diplomats, diplomatic staff and their families in Islamabad not to venture outside the diplomatic enclave unless absolutely necessary.

The tit-for-tat doorbell wars began when the bell of the Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan was rung at 3 am, Bloomsberg correspondent Ian Marlow tweeted.
