Students, teacher remember Stephen Hawking with a lesson from his work, life

Hans passed away 13 years ago, Gerry left us nearly eight years later and now Stephen is gone too. Co-star Kaley Cuoco wrote, "He made us laugh and we made him laugh".

Hawking was born on January 8, 1942, in Oxford, England.

Professor Stephen Hawking, the brilliant young man who was given only a few years to live after being diagnosed with a rare form of motor neurone disease at age 22, passed away on Wednesday peacefully at his home in Cambridge. But he continued his theoretical work and was outspoken on many things over much of his life.

He had produced some of the most cosmological researched about gravity and the properties of the black hole. Despite the prediction that he would live only a couple of years, Stephen Hawking continued for more than half a century with his studies in the field of physics, and managed to stand out worldwide as a benchmark for the study of black holes and the Big Bang, mixing the theory of general relativity with the theory of quantum mechanics.

Meanwhile, from the worlds of science, technology and space, Nasa said Prof Hawking's theories "unlocked a universe of possibilities".

Professor Tim Pedley, also of Caius college, has has memories of him dancing in his wheelchair.

It's no secret that President Trump has made plans to cut the endowments provided to certain institutions that support arts and humanities, but with a Commander in Chief who tweets unscientific, ignorant nonsense such as, "Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against".

Netflix: Streaming on demandNarrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, this documentary presents Hawking's personal vision of whether there is a god who created and controls the universe, by taking us through history and our place in the universe from the time of the Vikings to the present.

While his many contributions will live on there is no doubt that science and the wider world is the poorer for his passing.

Neymar has been slameed after posting an "interesting" tribute to the late Stephen Hawking.

He won nearly every scientific honour available, wrote 15 books, including the wildly successful A Brief History of Time, and held several prestigious teaching engagements, including as one of the successors of Isaac Newton as Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University. It was incredible how widely read and discussed it was, particularly given its content (stuff that is usually portrayed as being really hard and/or boring). If we knew we only had two years or even two days left on this earth, I think more positivity would permeate amongst the masses.

Mixing recollections from his childhood and family life that inspired his work as a scientist, he goes in search of the ultimate mystery: the theory of everything. His greatest impact came from taking the time to carefully explain his theories to the public, engaging millions with his bestselling books. This is the true strength of his legacy. That makes us something very special'. While this seems daunting and perhaps concerning, it also has inspired hundreds - if not thousands of physicists - to work in the hard area of quantum gravity, because the greatest rewards lie where the greatest problems are.

"His courage, humour and determination to get the most from life was an inspiration".

After decades of discovery, curiosity, determination and an inspiring sense of humanity and humor, Hawking died in the early hours of Wednesday morning at age 76.

While the world of medicine is still marveling at Hawking's inexplicably long life, the rest of the world is grieving for his loss.

"Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet". The book features debates regarding the geometry of the universe, asks whether the universe only experiences expansion or has a more cyclical existence, and queries whether information can escape from black holes.
