Drunk man takes 'crazy' $1600 Uber ride crossing state lines

Drunk Man Accidentally Takes $1600 Uber To NJ After Partying With Friends In West Virginia

Obviously, this accidental life choice has made Kenneth quite the hero of the drunken regrets world, and speaking on the matter he said simply, "I was just like... that's insane!".

"I was just like, that's insane", he told the news station. About $116 worth of the fare came from the time spent to make the trip, according to NJ.com.

He apparently fell asleep and didn't realize it, until he woke up in the Uber hours later. "The last thing I remember was being at the bar and then I just woke up in the Uber", Kenneth told CBS.

Kenneth adds that he accidentally ordered a more expensive UberXL, and had no choice but to pay the fare.

Bachman spread out for sure, passing out shortly after he got into the vehicle.

"What am I just going to get dropped off on the side of the road", he asked.

He says he gave the driver five stars and even gave the driver cash to cover the cost of tolls on the way home.

Unfortunately, surge pricing was in full effect, costing Bachman a lot more money than it would've typically cost him.

On top of the Uber fee, the driver didn't have money for tolls, so he was fined at every tollbooth.

Bachman got back to New Jersey safe and sound. He said that he never put the address into the phone and that, at some point, the driver got control of the phone.

Bachman complained to Uber, but Uber insisted that the driver had taken him to the destination he requested. "He was on my phone, without me allowing it".

Bachman took a 300-mile Uber ride from Morgantown, West Virginia, to Gloucester County, New Jersey.
