Punch-up on board jet as passenger allegedly refuses to stop farting

Punch-up breaks out at 38000 feet and flight diverts after passenger 'refuses to stop BREAKING WIND'

Just when you thought being stuck in a confined space with strangers for hours on end was bad enough, one passenger has proved some people really don't respect the niceties of travel after his bodily functions forced the pilot to make an emergency stop. According to a local newspaper De Telegraaf, a Transavia Airlines flight made the unscheduled stop in between after two Dutch men objected to constant farting of a co-passenger.

A police spokesman confirmed that the incident centred around a passenger suffering from wind who was not attempting to restrain himself, which offended two Dutch men on the flight.

A clip recorded by one of the flight attendants showed four travelers who had caused the commotion, and they immediately removed them from the plane. 25-yr-old Nora Lacchab, a law student from Rotterdam, and her sister, say being removed was "humiliating" are now seeking to legal action having spoken to the airline already.

Nora said: "It was insane that we were included, we had no idea who these boys were, we just had the bad luck to be in the same row and we didn't do anything".

The two Dutchmen made a decision to complain to Transavia Airlines Crew, [VIDEO]but unfortunately, they were not able to contain the situation. They needed to get a different flight to complete their journey to Amsterdam.

In a statement the airline said: 'Our crew must ensure a safe flight. "They know very well where the boundaries are". An American Airlines spokesperson told Mashable that the plane had an odor issue because of a mechanical problem and the flight was never evacuated.

However, passenger Nora Lachhab said that they had done nothing wrong.

Still, the Huffington Post reported previous year that there is a reason why people fart more often on planes. When a person is at higher altitudes, the gas in the intestines can expand, just like the air in a water bottle.

There are some people out there who get an absolute kick out of seeing people recoil in disgust when they smell their farts.
