Auto goes airborne, crashes into second floor of Santa Ana dentist's office

Stephen Horner, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority, said officials received a call about a crash in Santa Ana, Calif., at about 5:30 a.m.

The phrase "crashing into a building" took on a new meaning Sunday when a vehicle in Southern California hit a center divider, went airborne and plowed into the second floor of a dentist's office.

Police responded to the 300 block of E. 17th St. on the report of a working vehicle into building collision just north of downtown Santa Ana.

Bay Area reported that around 5:30 a.m., a white sedan crashed into a centered median, which launched the vehicle into the second floor of an Orange County, Calif. dentist offices building.

A driver, a passenger and a auto wound up stuck in the second story of a Santa Ana building this weekend, authorities reported Sunday.

Two people sustained minor injuries.

The auto reportedly crossed three lanes before hitting a centre divider, causing it to fly through the air and land inside the two-storey building.

LA County Fire removed the vehicle from the structure following an assessment of the integrity of the structure by Public Works.

Upon impact, a fire broke out and was quickly extinguished.
