Warriors' Stephen Curry (ankle) not scheduled for further evaluation

Stephen Curry re-sprains right ankle at shootaround out against the Clippers tonight

Steph Curry missed 11 games in December with a sprained ankle he suffered against the New Orleans Pelicans, but since he returned on Dec. 30 he's been on a tear.

The Warriors have no plans for Stephen Curry to undergo an MRI or X-ray on his injured right ankle.

As for Thompson, the sharpshooting shooting guard is merely enjoying some time off for rest.

Kevin Durant is available to play after missing the last three games with a right calf strain. But Curry's recurring ankle issues will have the Warriors operating with extreme caution. Wednesday's game should have a drastically different feel with Durant back and the Splash Brothers on the sideline. Over the remainder of the year, numberFire's models project him to record 26.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 1.9 steals, and 3.4 3-pointers per game.

The Warriors play the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, before traveling to Toronto to take on the Raptors on Saturday. If he doesn't reach 20,000 points Wednesday night, he'll have eight more games to do so, up until the Warriors' Jan. 27 home game against the Boston Celtics. He's also shot 57.4 percent from the field, 53.2 percent from behind the arc and 89.7 from the free throw line.
