Chelsea Linked With Shock Move For Everton Star

Following Ross Barkley's recovery from injury Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit again

Barkley fell out of favour under former Everton boss Ronald Koeman following his refusal to sign a new contract last season.

A medical examination appears to be the only obstacle standing between Everton star Ross Barkley and a move to Chelsea following a £15million deal, after Tottenham pulled their interest in the England midfielder.

Barkley has yet to play this season after having hamstring surgery following a training injury but is now approaching match fitness.

Sam Allardyce admitted on Thursday that Everton remained resigned to Barkley's departure from Goodison Park, where he rose through the ranks to the first team.

The 24-year-old rejected a move to Stamford Bridge in the closing stages of the summer window after the Premier League champions and Everton had agreed a fee.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with England global and Everton star Ross Barkley for quite some time and the latest reports are very positive for the Blues. But that's not the case anymore, with Spurs apparently wanting to wait until the end of the season to sign him for free, while Chelsea ready to spend money now.

CHELSEA have made a fresh bid to finally land Ross Barkley. Antonio Conte would be happy with his addition to the squad as he has repeatedly appealed to the board to make more signings despite signing a midfielder not being a priority.
