Prime Minister Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, chief ministers of all BJP-ruled states and those governed by NDA associates are presented in the ceremony, Gujarat BJP chief Jitu Vaghani said.

According to a study by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Gujarat Election Watch, the self-sworn affidavits of 20 Ministers in Gujarat Assembly showed that their average assets were worth Rs 13.34 crore.

Bhupendrasinh Manubha Chudasama, who won the Dholka constituency seat with a meagre margin of 350 votes, was sworn in.

Former minister Ganpat Vasava, who retained his seat, Mangrol (ST), is likely to retain his cabinet rank, said a source.

The city of Ahmedabad has two ministers, Kaushik Patel from Naranpura as Cabinet minister and Pradipsinh Jadeja as Minister of State.

A senior BJP leader said the party will be mindful of a blend of factors such as experience, caste, and region while selecting ministers. The bond between Gujarat and BJP is extremely special.

Opposition Congress, which had won 61 seats in 2012, managed to increase its tally to 77.

Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) convenor Hardik Patel even went on to claim that a reservation above 50 per cent could be given in Gujarat.
