Mueller's Trump Finances Subpoena Was Never Sent, Here's Why

Mueller and his cabal of villainous knaves

Camera IconRobert Mueller has asked a German bank to look at account information of Donald Trump and his family.

Both reports said Mueller issued the subpoena several weeks ago.

Mr Mueller is investigating claims of collusion between Trump's aides and Russian officials while also probing Moscow's influence in the U.S. presidential election which brought Trump, the billionaire businessman into power.

Handelsblatt said the subpoena requested information on the bank's dealings with the Trumps, where Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter, and her husband Jared Kushner are also clients. Mueller incorporated several ongoing investigations within the Justice Department including those of Trump campaign contacts with Russian Federation, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's business activities and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Special counsel Robert Mueller's "Russiagate" probe cost USA taxpayers $3.2 million in the first six months, mostly on salaries and benefits. Sources familiar with Trump's borrowing from the bank told The Financial Times the total he owed is more like $300 million. The president's financial records could potentially show whether Trump owes or has received money from suspects connected to Russian Federation.

Mr Mueller is looking into claims of Russian interference in the USA presidential election and potential collusion by Mr Trump's team - an allegation denied by the President and Russian authorities. "Look, this is about Russian Federation". But the fact that Mueller is looking at Deutsche Bank means his probe is reaching the very heart of Trump's financial life. The one exception was Deutsche Bank, to which Trump owed $364 million as of the end of past year.

The Deutsche debts include a loan exceeding $50 million for the Old Post Office, a historic property he redeveloped in downtown Washington, mortgages worth more than $55 million on a golf course in Florida, and a $25 million-plus loan on a Trump hotel and condominium in Chicago, the disclosure shows.

In October, Manafort pleaded not guilty to charges including conspiracy to launder money and conspiracy against the United States.

On December 1, Mueller reached a plea agreement with former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty to giving misleading the Federal Bureau of Investigation about his contacts with then Russian Ambassador to the US, Sergey Kislyak.
