- A high school soccer player from Florida has been found, and authorities have reportedly arrested the 27-year-old soccer coach they say she was traveling with.

Caitliyn Frisina, the 17-year-old Florida girl who was missing for a week and believed to be with her soccer coach, has been found in NY and is safe, according to reports.

On Friday around 4 p.m. ET, a New York State Police officer in Syracuse spotted the vehicle the two were believed to have fled in, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Mark Hunter didn't detail the relationship between Frisina and Rodriguez and said his primary focus was to bring the teen home safely.

Columbia County deputies say Rodriquez is now charged with interference in child custody.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office confirmed a missing teenager who is believed to have ran away with a soccer coach was found safe on Friday.

"I know that she to some degree left on her own".

According to Fox News, Frisina's father said that Rodriguez was a family friend and there were no indications that his daughter would leave with him.

The girl has been reunited with her family.

Her mother Scarlett Parnell Frisina wrote on Facebook, "Our Caitlyn is safe & we're headed to get her! But I absolutely believe that she was lied to and totally misled", Scarlett Frisina told CBS.

Frisina and Rodriguez were spotted on cameras in Georgia on Sunday and then at a pawn shop in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She had last been seen at her home Saturday night.

Officials at Fort White High School have suspended Rodriguez. But investigators said she was unharmed.
