Over 10000 policemen for Ivanka Trump's visit, GES

Negative headlines and the like has allegedly left the president wanting them to return to NY. US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump will get Presidential-level security in India in the wake of heightened threat perception, official sources said on Friday.

Rex Tillerson's decision not to send high-level officials from the State Department has nothing to do with slashing the department's budget, according to sources who spoke with CNN. The summit's slogan this year is "Women First, Prosperity for All".

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit and the U.S. president's daughter will deliver the keynote address.

The decision by Tillerson - if true - is being viewed in the American corridors of power as one meant to deflate efforts by President Trump to give her daughter the aura of an important player in the U.S. administration. The report states that it has "more to do with the fact Ivanka Trump is leading the USA delegation this year".

"The measures like anti-sabotage checks, road opening, access controls and CCTV surveillance would ensure the security of the VVIPs and delegates, besides a free-flow of vehicular movement", he said. "It's now another rift between the White House and State at a time when Rex Tillerson doesn't need any more problems with the President".

The Indian government had hoped that since Ivanka would herself be leading the U.S. delegation, the attendance of the most influential U.S. government officials at the event was a given. The secretary and his top staff have insisted on approving all travel- even the most minute details, ' the official added.

The summit was started during Obama's tenure in the White House, and CNN noted that a change in the State Department's approach to the event would be expected.

The official said that no one higher ranking than the deputy assistant secretary will be allowed to participate in the summit.

The state government is spending Rs 8 crore on organising the summit, dinner and transport arrangements.
