Black Twitter blasts Kim Kardashian for dressing up like Aaliyah for Halloween

Kim Kardashian Has Already Won Halloween With 3 Iconic Costumes

This Halloween weekend, Kim dressed up as not one but THREE singing superstars, and we really can't decide our fave. Copying the outfit from her famous Try Again video, Kim wore a bejewelled bra, low-cut black pants and a matching diamante choker with poker straight hair.

Luckily for the woman, her sisters, Khloe and Kim never shy away from calling out Scott or anyone else for that matter.

As such, Twitter tore into Kim K for her failed attempt to honor Aaliyah. "It's offensive and you shouldn't push this limit, but ok".

That said, many also came to the star's defense, as her choice to dress as an individual who is not the same race or ethnicity as she should not immediately deemed inappropriate. She oozed Marilyn Monroe vibes as she finished off the look with sparkling accessorises and a slick of red lipstick as she channelled the Queen of Pop.

In response, the 21-year-old model revealed:"He talked to me about it". "Baby Girl Aaliyah", she captioned the video, nodding at the late R&B singer's nickname. Most echoed the sentiment that, while they often think Kim is on the wrong side of a cultural appropriation headline, this particular one is unwarranted, writing statements such as "The is the first time in years Kim Kardashian is doing absolutely nothing problematic by dressing as Aaliyah yet people are still mad?" Did Kim K culturally appropriate?

Earlier this summer it was rumoured that he and former child star Bella were an item - something she has since denied - before just weeks ago he and Sofia went public with their romance.

Over the past one week, Kim has turned a lot of heads and gathered multiple compliments for pulling off musical icon costumes at various Halloween parties.
