Nokia 9 leaked renders reveal thin bezels, dual cameras

EXCLUSIVE: Flagship Smartphone Nokia 9 Revealed In 3D Renders

HMD's next smartphone will be the Nokia 9 and it has very thin bezels and a pair of dual cameras on the back.

Much has been said about this Nokia 9. The Nokia 9 looks like a sleek device, but the company is exhibiting an excess of courage by ditching the headphone jack. The upcoming Nokia flagship is also speculated to have a dimension of 140.9x72.9x7.5mm, together with an increased thickness of 8.9mm due to camera bump. There's a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and a dual camera array that protrudes substantially. Moving on to the bottom, you can see the USB Type-C port flanked by speaker grilles and primary mic.

Apart from this, one important thing seen missing is a headphone jack.

Nokia is making phones again, but a lot of them have been mid-range or cheaper phones.

Details on pricing and availability weren't given, but a leak from earlier this week suggested that the Nokia 9 might be announced sometime in early 2018 alongside the budget-friendly Nokia 2 and the mid-range Nokia 7, according to Phone Arena. The device is expected to release later this year, or early next year, and could possibly arrive with Android Oreo onboard.

Sad news for the Nokia fans in the United States of America, the motherland of the silicon valley. The phone is already available in some European and Asian markets and it appears it won't be making it to the USA, after all. In terms of specifications, CompareRaja website, which shared the render video, says that the device will probably come with 5.5-inch QHD resolution screen and may be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor.

Following the apparent success of a low-priced unlocked Nokia 6 stateside (actual sales numbers remain unknown), it seemed pretty reasonable to expect an eventual official USA expansion for the Europe-first Nokia 8.
