Odell Beckham Jr. to undergo surgery

Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham grabs his leg after suffering an injury

The New York Giants season got even worse on Sunday when Odell Beckham Jr. went down with a scary-looking injury to his ankle.

Beckham missed the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys after spraining the same ankle in the preseason against the Cleveland Browns.

It was immediately clear that Beckham was in severe pain as players around him signaled to the sideline and he rolled around in tears. He led NY in catches coming into Sunday, having caught 21 of the 27 passes headed his way - far better than Odell Beckham's efficiency rate of 20 catches on 33 targets.

Giants receiver Brandon Marshall won't be back today, but the news is not necessarily bad.

As for the rest of the game, the Giants blew three leads, including two in the second half.

At 0-4, losing Beckham would all but ensure the Giants' playoff hopes are over.

Beckham had five catches for 95 yards and a touchdown before he was hurt.
