Colin Kaepernick says he's willing to go anywhere for another National Football League shot

Colin Kaepernick confirms he will stand for national anthem if signed, report says

The chances of an National Football League team signing Colin Kaepernick seem like they are decreasing by the day, but the free agent quarterback is not letting that deter him from keeping himself prepared in the event that the call comes.

Prior reports have indicated that Kaepernick will stand for the anthem in 2017, but circumstances have changed significantly since then. He spoke about Kaepernick living in NY and training in New Jersey in the hopes of getting signed by a team.

Relying on unnamed sources, ESPN reported in March that Kaepernick would stand during the anthem if he played again.

Kaepernick also retweeted several people - including his girlfriend Nessa Diab and prominent Black Lives Matter activist Deray McKesson - denying the claim following La Canfora's comments.

Kaepernick sparked the recent wave of anthem demonstrations when he sat (and later kneeled) during pregame festivities previous year in order to bring attention to racial injustice and police brutality in America. Off the field, the quarterback runs the Colin Kaepernick Foundation, where he has vowed to donate $1 million and all of his 2016 jersey sales to communities in need around the country. "Steve Bisciotti has said it himself: 'How can you crucify Ray Lewis when Ray Lewis is the one calling for Colin Kaepernick?'". La Canfora wrote after the report about Kaepernick standing spread like wildfire.

"Colin told me explicitly, 'I'll go anywhere and work out for a team".

"Reports about @Kaepernick7 standing for anthem had not been refuted. Our chat primarily about his will to play".

According to a report by Jason La Canfora on Sunday, Kaepernick has been living in NY and working out privately in New Jersey with the hope of signing with a team this season.
