The Last Jedi trailer date was just outed by Luke Skywalker

Updated Star Wars The Last Jedi

Granted, the actor has since gone on record to seemingly set the record straight, writing that, "Disney will announce when they are ready", followed by the hashtag '#WaitForVIIITrailer'. As such, Disney and Lucasfilm have unveiled a batch of high-resolution images from The Last Jedi that offer very clear looks at the cast, characters, and new locations. But everyone is waiting for more footage to thumb through to try and uncover much of the mystery around the film's plot.

But now Making Star Wars Net have noticed what appears to be a quickly covered up leak by The Last Jedi's Mark Hamill.

Mark Hamill, who of course plays Luke Skywalker, was asked about the trailer on Twitter.

Previous year the Japanese automaker seemed to be a flawless fit as a promotional partner for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, having the Rogue crossover in its lineup.

Now that the end of September is upon us, we're a mere three months out from the premiere of Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi. Having said that, there is evidence that points to October 9 actually being the date for the trailer. Hamill has since deleted the tweet, but you can check out a screenshot of it over at Star Wars News. But if it is a troll, it's one that certainly makes sense for fans to get behind. Before Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a new trailer was released around the same time, also during a football game. And that, conveniently enough for Disney, also allows the company to make the event an extra charge, as well.
