Chris Johnson may be re-signed by Cardinals

Bruce Arians said Johnson is getting a second opinion, but the injury - called a dislocated wrist by Arians - is significant enough that Johnson will be missing time and placed on injured reserve.

The second-year starting running back underwent a MRI on Monday morning, and Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said no conclusions emerged based on Sunday night's information. On Sunday, Chris Mortensen reported he could be out for up to half the season or more.

While he didn't give a timetable for Johnson, Arians said Logan is expected to be out eight to 12 weeks. "And we'll see what's out there", Arians said.

Johnson had 11 carries for 23 yards and six catches for 68 yards in the season opener.

Johnson was dynamic in 2016, earning a place at the Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro recognition, but it may not make sense to rush him back so early in the season.

From a fantasy football perspective, fantasy owners should be preparing for the worst.

Jared Veldheer spent all offseason preparing for his new role as a right tackle with the Arizona Cardinals.

The injury will test the depth of the team on the offensive line.

As far the game goes, Arians blamed the loss on his best players.

"I have all the confidence (in other backs)".
