Tech Raptor points to a leaked listing on the Target website for "Bethesda: Game of Thrones", which suggests that Bethesda, the Maryland-based publisher Doom, Wolfenstein and The Elder Scrolls, has a video game in development based on the hit fantasy. No further details are hinted at. Now before we jump into a conclusion that this is just a random placeholder listing that might have come up on the Target by mistake I would like to inform you that currently, Bethesda is working on a 2 unannounced, large-scale games. That's why it's being ported over the Nintendo Switch and has been rereleased several times on PC already. "We have two larger projects that are more classically the scale of what we do, but even bigger", Studio Director Todd Howard commented earlier this year, according to GameSpot.

Is Bethesda making a Game of Thrones title? However, it is unknown which technology is being developed the project, not to mention the target platforms and a release date.

Video games based on the world created by George R.R. Martin have been attempted before. Games of Thrones' Season 7 finale airs tonight on HBO at 9pm ET. In 2012, an action RPG simply called Game of Thrones was released by Atlus USA, but got a mixed reception from critics.

What has been missing is a true attempt at AAA Game of Thrones video game. This could mean that Bethesda does not game, but something else.
