The Truth About Taylor Swift And Katy Perry's Rumored Duet

Taylor Swift's New Album 'Reputation' Coming Nov. 10

Another highlight of the video is of course Nicki Minaj, who descends from thin air to deliver a fake halftime show and give the Tigers a quick pep talk.

"She's a commander in chief, she's really a force to be reckoned with", proclaims Meyers who also directed Perry's 2011 MTV VMA video of the year-winning "Firework" visual.

Katy - who has had a very public feud with Taylor Swift and is set to come face-to-face with her this weekend - has won 88 awards in her career to date including 5 American Music Awards and one BRIT Award. The announcer even says they don't stand a chance at the beginning, announcing, "We are mere moments away from an affair that everybody is predicting to be the most unwatchable, eye-gouging blowout of the season". You can pretty much guess how the game goes from there.

The setup is that Katy Perry is captain of a bad basketball team called The Tigers, populated with short, sweaty, and/or out of shape athletes played by a variety of social media celebrities and coached by Saturday Night Live veteran Molly Shannon. Backed by a team of dancers, the rap vixen breaks down her bars before instructing Katy to "get it together". While Taylor's new song "Look What You Made Me Do" takes sharp aim at Kanye West, it leaves plenty of room for her other famous frenemy to suffer a few hits.

Before the release of Look What You Made Me Do, Swift had posted some rather cryptic videos on social media. It appears she's making reference to the movie "Mean Girls", where Regina George's picture is in the burn book with the words, "She is a fugly slut" and underlined in red.

Back in 2011, she and Harris had a bust-up after he cancelled some appearances on Perry's United Kingdom tour dates at the last minute, and just previous year she got involved in the drama regarding his and Swift's co-written hit "This Is What You Came For".
