Taylor Swift is back with LP 6 and there are mixed feelings

Taylor Swift's New Single Is Called 'Look What You Made Me Do' [LISTEN]

Following the release of her new single, "Look What You Made Me Do", a TMZ report has confirmed that the release date for Swift's upcoming album, Reputation, fans on the same day as the 10-year anniversary of West's mother's tragic and unexpected death.

"Look What You Made Me Do" is said to be Swift's response to her ongoing feuds with Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West.

There's also a reference to a "list of names"-on which her enemy's is underlined-that she plans to check not once, but twice (um, is that a straight-up Santa reference?)".

Previous year their feud hit a new height when West's wife, Kim Kardashian West, released audio recordings that she said proved Swift gave West the go ahead for a Swift reference in the song "Famous". "Oh, 'cause she's dead".

While another said: 'Why do I have a feeling this song is a diss towards Kanye west? As predicted, Taylor announced recently that her sixth album will be released in November and that we'd be getting a new single Thursday night. Musically, the song sheds the '80s pop vibe of "1989" and completely obliterates her country roots.

Promotional material for Taylor Swift's new album, "Reputation".

Then there's chorus, which is a repetition of "Look what you made me do".

After a year in which she went through a high-profile breakup, a short-lived fling, celebrity feuds and a court battle, Taylor Swift is coming for her haters with a mad, bad, edgy new single.

Thrilled, the British band took to Twitter to express their thanks for Swift's "marvelous reinvention".

At one stage during the song, Swift sounds as if she's speaking through a telephone and says the line, "The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why?"

The team behind Swift's new album may well hoped that its assertive tone could reinstate the star at the centre of trendsetting pop.

The song begins with Taylor's attempt at rapping, as the recent court case victor tries her best to come off as menacing.

The news unsurprisingly thrilled her fans who took to social media to share their excitement about the new music.

"I am more than happy with [the song]", Richard added.
