Anonymous Denies Claim They Hacked Neo-Nazi Website Daily Stormer

Protesters march in Charlottesville Virginia

The article in question labeled Heyer "fat and a drain on society" who "has no value" because she had yet to have children.

GoDaddy said the post violated its terms of service because it believes "this type of post could incite additional violence". In the meanwhile, the website was allegedly hacked by the Anonymous hacktivist group, who deny responsibility. Daily Storm publisher Andrew Anglin could not immediately be reached for comment on GoDaddy's ban.

A message on the Daily Stormer this morning suggested the site may have also been targeted by global hacking collective Anonymous over its comments about Heyer.

Heyer, 32, was hit and killed by a auto allegedly driven by a man with white nationalist views when the vehicle rammed a group of counter-protesters.

The company said the article violated its terms and conditions and has told the Daily Stormer, the self-proclaimed "World's Most Genocidal Republican Website" to find a new provider.

Hours later, a post appeared on the Daily Stormer claiming that hacking group Anonymous had taken control of the site and would shut it down within 24 hours. "That will not be happening anymore".

GoDaddy gave the site 24 hours to switch to a different server.

The Daily Stormer attracted readers, including Dylann Roof, the Charleston church shooter. It appears that while the left (as well as many Republicans) were calling out Donald Trump for failing to condemn white supremacy or call the incident a terror attack, white supremacists were praising him for the same thing. When asked to condemn [Trump] just walked out of the room.

According to sources related to the hactivists, their members would not have allowed the incriminating text to continue on the website if they were responsible for the hack. Anglin has claimed to be living in Lagos, Nigeria, but previous reports have suggested this too might be a hoax. "Seriously, suck less", they tweeted to Daily Stormer in response. "We want you Nazis to know: your time is short", they wrote.
