Tom Cruise injured on the set of 'Mission Impossible 6'

Leap of faith Aged 55 Hollywood action man Tom Cruise is showing no signs of slowing down after being spotted leaping from rooftop to rooftop in London on Saturday

The actor was injured on set in London Sunday while filming a stunt for "Mission: Impossible 6", the latest flick in his blockbuster franchise, according to video obtained by TMZ.

Cruise is well known for doing his own stunts, which have included hanging off the side of an airplane in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation in 2015 and scaling the world's tallest building - Dubai's Burj Khalifa - in 2011's Mission: Impossible - Ghost Patrol.

The sixth installment in the Mission Impossible franchise is now shooting in London.

The 55-year-old actor is then seen propelling himself onto the rooftop and limping toward the production crew.

He then takes a moment to regain his posture as the crew tentatively watches on, and appears to decide to give him some space.

We don't know the extent of his injuries. Reps for Cruise and Paramount did not immediately respond to a request for comment. However, as mentioned, the situation does seem serious and that could have a very real impact on the filming process.

Meanwhile, producer David Ellison previously revealed that Cruise has been "training for a year" for his role in "Mission: Impossible 6".

Tom plays Ethan Hunt in the smash hit series, which also stars Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner and Vanessa Kirby, with details of the plot being kept under wraps.
