Killing Floor 2 Coming to Xbox One With Exclusive Content

Get ready to wipe out Zeds in 4k

The Freezethrower is a liquid-nitrogen filled gun that freezes enemies, allowing them to be shattered (i.e. T-1000 in Terminator 2).

Developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive officially announced that the game will be coming to the Xbox One on August 29th, 2017. Tripwire made the announcement via their website, saying that the game will hit the console next month for $39.99 and include all previously released content at no extra charge.

Killing Floor 2 is available on PC and PS4 right now, in case you want to play it, but don't want to wait.

Now this already sounds like a good deal for Xbox owners, but there's more in the form of timed in-game content; a freezethrower weapon, with eight new weapon skins, and a new Wasteland Armor uniform with five skins. It will be launching on Xbox One on August 29, with Xbox One X enhancements being available right at that system's launch on November 7. That includes The Descent, The Tropical Bash, and "elements" of The Summer Sideshow.

Killing Floor 2 originally launched for PlayStation 4 and PC at the end of previous year, and it was a fantastic horde shooter that made a lot of improvements over the original game.

The game is available now for PC, PS4 and PS4 Pro. The press release also mentions built in support for Microsoft's streaming platform, Mixer.

Xbox One X will have 4K support, increase performance, high-res textures, shadow maps and fade-out distance.
