Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun gives England and Jonny Bairstow massive scare

Jonny Bairstow suffered an unexpected injury scare ahead of the first Test

England batsman Jonny Bairstow walked out of the nets after facing just one delivery on Wednesday after the right-handed batsman suffered an unexpected injury scare while facing Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar.

In a report by the Daily Mail, the 27-year-old was hit on the foot by a yorker bowled by Arjun.

However, proper medical assistance was provided to Bairstow on the ground. And, Bairstow's participation in the first Test wasn't getting affected.

Tendulkar owns a property near Lord's and this was not the first time Arjun was seen practicing with the England team. For once, it became scary for the cricketer as well as for the whole team as an injury would mean his dismissal from the upcoming Test match against South Africa. Arjun, son of Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, has been a regular at the England's nets session at Lord's.

Arjun, who has represented the Mumbai Under-14 and 16 sides as a left-arm pacer and batsman, has been consistently honing his skills in the United Kingdom for weeks now. England would be led by Joe Root, who took on captaincy from Alastair Cook earlier this year while Dean Elgar will lead South Africa in the absence of Faf du Plessis.
