Vigil for North Royalton murder victims

Police say he is suspected in the deaths of the three women found dead Sunday night in a North Royalton home.

Brinkman is also facing charges for the deaths of two people in Stark County.

Brinkman was taken into custody early Tuesday after a standoff in Brunswick. He is in custody of North Royalton Police Department.

A vigil was held Wednesday at North Royalton High School in memory of Suzanne Taylor and her daughters, Taylor and Kylie, who were both North Royalton graduates. After allegedly killing a mother and her two daughters in a North Royalton home, police believe 45-year-old George Brinkman Jr. murdered a Lake Township couple he'd been house-sitting for, per the Canton Repository.

Brinkman's criminal history includes misdemeanor convictions for passing bad checks, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, records show.

The suspect was taken into custody and, then, to a hospital to be evaluated after he was subdued with a Taser by #Swat officers, said Lieutenant Robert Safran, Brunswick Police. Brinkman is charged in the deaths of a married couple in Lake Township - Rogell Eugene John, 71, and Roberta Ray John, 64.

Brinkman was later also linked to the murder of a North Canton couple whose bodies were found in their home several hours before the standoff began.

Mr. Brinkman was watching the house while they were away, the sheriff said. Maier said at the news conference that the Johns had returned just the day before from a vacation.

Authorities confirmed a stun gun was ultimately used to subdue the suspect.

Stark County issued murder warrants for Brinkman's arrest Tuesday morning. No shots were fired. Brinkman has not yet been charged in connection with the slayings of the three women from North Royalton. When he stopped by the house, he would later tell a 911 operator that he saw "her friend George's car" at the home.

Accused murderer George Brinkman now faces five murder charges in two counties. He is now in the custody of the North Royalton police, charged with the two counts of murder in the deaths of the Johns.
