Transformers Photos: Michael Bay Posts Production Shots From The Last Knight

Mark Wahlberg vs Cogman in Transformers The Last Knight Clip

According to the star himself, Transformers: The Last Knight will be the final film in the franchise for Mark Wahlberg. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes.

Essentially, they strapped two IMAX cameras together side by side onto one rig, making an old fashioned yet very expensive 3D setup. The film is set to hit theaters this June 21 and ahead of its release, director #Michael Bay and actor #Mark Wahlberg have already bid their goodbyes to the franchise. Even if most of his movies go out with a bang.

It's been 10 years since the first Transformers movie came out. "They take a lot out of you", Bay said when we asked if he was finally - for real, this time - stepping away from the Transformers franchise.

With Transformers: The Last Knight set to open this coming week, director Michael Bay has once again reiterated that he won't be returning for the sixth instalment of the series, which has already been given a 2019 release date by Hasbro and Paramount Pictures. That seems like a fun one to do.

"We've talked about [it]", Bay said about working with Cruise. "They're still out at cafes, you know, and going to places and doing things - it's pretty remarkable here, the strength and resilience here that they show".

Days after the deadly highrise fire and terrorist attacks on London Bridge, Wahlberg was in London, where parts of the movie was shot. "I think I've had a good run, and I've got a lot of other movies I want to do". Then Bay, executive producer Steven Spielberg, and writer/producer Akiva Goldsman assembled a writers room to plan out where the Transformers can go in the future, including spinoff films.

On a lighter note, Wahlberg also showed his body's strength, revealing how he got in shape for the movie in just three weeks, right after wrapping "Patriots Day". "I look like my mum in the '70s - it's just really bad!"
