Rita Ora joins community effort to help Grenfell Tower fire victims

Adele Lends Support To Grenfell Tower Residents, After Devastating Fire

The public have made large amounts of donations to the Grenfell Tower victims, with local centers and churches taking supplies such as clothes, towels, nappies and sanitary products for those affected.

Singer Adele was among people who gathered on Wednesday night close to a London tower block that was destroyed in a catastrophic fire, according to posts on social media.

Rita isn't the only celebrity to have offered their support and help either, as fellow Londoner Adele, 29, was spotted at a vigil for those who tragically lost their lives in the blaze.

12 people are known to have died after fire engulfed Grenfell Tower in White City after 1am - but Scotland Yard expects the death toll to rise and some claim the actual number could be over 50. Adele was going around and hugging everyone she could to comfort them.

Ora shared a video to Snapchat showing her sorting through black bin bags of donated essentials, which had been left on a West London street. I can't believe this is happening. My heart is beating so fast. I'm literally on the other side of the world and I want them to see our lights and to hear us.

She added on Twitter: "Shocked and devastated to hear this bad news. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy in west London (sic)". The I Will Never Let You Down singer was born in Kosovo but fled to the United Kingdom at the age of one with her mother, father and siblings to escape the war.
