Mobile launches Father's Day BOGO offer for Galaxy S8 and other phones

The biggest catch is that you have to add at least one unlimited line to your account if you're an existing T-Mobile customer, or you have to add two lines (one for each phone) if you're a new customer.

T-Mobile and Android Central are ready to give you a free phone!

This deal is only available on the installment plan with T-Mobile. And the firm said earlier this week that both T-Mobile and Verizon were most likely to feel the impact of Sprint's new free unlimited promotion.

Will you be getting your dad a brand-new phone from T-Mobile this Father's Day? They will also have to get both their phones activated on the carrier's ONE plan, for which no trade-in is required. Existing and new Un-carrier subscribers use T-Mobile's Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) to buy a pair of handsets choosing from the Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8+, LG G6 and the LG V20. So, up to $500 if you go for the LG device and up to $790 if you grab the Samsung Galaxy. You just have to pay the taxes upfront, and then you'll receive a prepaid card in the mail to cover the cost of the second device.

Complete the rebate online and enter the promo code 17JUNESAMBOGO and supply the information necessary. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ are available in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray or Arctic Silver.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is priced at $30 down and $30 per month for 24 months, which is a total of $750. The Galaxy S8+ can be purchased in the same way by giving $70 down and $30 per month. But it does signal T-Mobile's effort to shore up its postpaid user base as the second quarter comes to an end.

The LG G6 is available from the carrier in Ice Platinum and Black for $500. An EIP is not a contract, so you can cancel at any time and just pay off the balance of the device.
